Alejandro and Jeanira Ortega are students from the Bachelor in Pastoral Theology through the program of decentralized education via SENDAS. This past July 25, 2018, they were ordained as elders during the District Assembly of the Kansas City District, USA. General Superintendent Dr. Gustavo Crocker ordained them and their local pastors, Dr. Mario Zani and Rev. Sam Barber prayed over them as well. Currently the couple serves as associate pastors with Dr. Mario Zani at Lenexa Central Church of the Nazarene in Kansas City.
Recently, they received a call to be part of the team that will help start a new work with the Kayros Church in Independence, Missouri, USA. They say, “We are thankful to God to be part of all that is happening in our lives and for permitting us to experience the important step of ordination. Our greatest desire and prayer is that God will help us to be faithful and obedient to the call that we have received. We are sure that God has calls us to faithfulness. May the name of our Lord Jesus Christ be forever glorified.”
