Registrars from the Mesoamerica Region met for a training on the SENDAS campus, October 11-12, 2018. The training focused on the GNECsis program and was led by Kindra Bible, Software Developer for the Church of the Nazarene. The GNECsis system is provided free of charge through the work of IBOE and is being implemented in all of the institutions on the Mesoamerica Region. Registrars from SENDAS (Costa Rica), STN (Guatemala), SND (Dominican Republic), and SENAMEX (Mexico) participated in the training. The institutions unable to send representatives to this specific training will also have access to the GNECsis system.

Kindra shared, “Global Mission, IBOE, IT, and our Educational leaders from around the world have worked together to create a system to allow our schools to keep track of academic records, student accounts, human resources, and much more in a flexible way that works with the differing education requirements and technology challenges that exist in each country.  By using the same system, this allows our schools to collaborate together and learn from one another.  We are grateful that the Mesoamerica region is willing to collaborate with us and their sister institutions globally to meet our common needs.  I am excited about what this collaboration means for our Nazarene education worldwide.”

“Thank you for thinking about theological education in such a comprehensive way,” said Charito Xuc, participant from STN in Guatemala.

All institutions on the Mesoamerica Region are grateful to IBOE and the Church of the Nazarene for continuing to look for ways to help our schools serve their students more efficiently.
